Why I Started Elm & Oak

Here in The Catskills, NY, Elm & Oak started after life took an unexpected turn. I worked in line-clearance tree work—the kind of work that teaches you to respect hard days, long hours, and doing things right. After an accident on the job crushed my foot, I could no longer continue in the only field I had known.

With a growing family depending on me, I needed to build a new path. Elm & Oak is that path: a brand shaped by the work ethic I came from and made for the people who carry that same grit with them every day.

We take inspiration from wooded trailheads, barn doors, old workwear, and the quiet confidence of a well-worn favorite. Our first pieces are designed to go easily from an early start to a late campfire.
